TUI | Flights from only four British airports from May 17-27 – Greece excludes cancellations until June 7

TUI – United Kingdom and Ireland has announced that it will only be flying from four airports from 17 May to 27 May amid ongoing travel restrictions. Also cancelling packages until 7 June in several destinations which do not include Greece. At the same time, it modifies cruises, holidays in mountains and lakes. While announcing that it will not travel to red destinations.

More specifically, TUI is going to resume some flights and vacation packages from May 17. According to government regulations that are expected to be finalized in the next few days. However, as a result of the “traffic light” system, the leading holiday provider has decided to depart for this period until 27 May, from only four UK airports.

 

This means that all flights and holiday packages departing from London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol between 17 May and 27 May will be cancelled.

As the company states, “We are sorry to announce that the following flights and holiday packages are cancelled, as follows. All TUI holiday packages departing from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, including flight reservations and accommodation to depart on 16 May 2021 or before. Also, all vacation packages, including flight bookings only, departing from any UK airport EXCEPT London Gatwick, Manchester Birmingham and Bristol are scheduled to depart on or before 27 May 2021.

Also, due to ongoing travel uncertainty, TUI cancels all holiday packages and flights to Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia, Tunisia, Egypt and Cape Verde, which were to be cancelled. before June 7. As well as holiday packages on the lakes and mountains in Italy, Austria and Slovenia that were to depart before 7 June.

And Cruises

At the same time, some Marella cruises have also been suspended due to ongoing restrictions.

These include the Marella Discovery and Marella Discovery 2 cruises that were expected to depart on or before July 31, 2021.

Reservations

According to TUI, “All customers affected by the latest cancellations will be contacted directly and will be able to request a full refund or change the reservation at a later date and receive a booking incentive.

Following the latest announcement from the UK Government. Customers traveling from the UK will continue to be subject to a new traffic light system with Green, Amber and Red destinations.

We have not yet received all the details for each category, including the entry and testing requirements that may be required for your destination and what colour your destination may be. We can confirm that we will not travel to red destinations.

We know our customers are looking forward to their holiday, so to offer continued flexibility and confidence, we have extended our free change policy to include bookings until the end of August. If you want to change your reservation at a later date, you can do so up to 14 days before traveling through my booking management (from Saturday 1 May). At a TUI store or by calling us at 0203 4512688. And if the destination change to Amber within 14 days of your trip, you will be able to modify up to the day before your departure.

If you are traveling between May 17 and 31, you will be able to change your vacation for free up to 7 days before departure. You will be able to modify your reservation by managing my reservation at a TUI store or by calling us at 0203 4512688.

If you know before your departure date that you will have to be quarantined on your return to the UK, you will have the option to change your holiday free of charge to another time period. You will also be able to change your vacation for free if you are unable to travel due to new testing or vaccination requirements.

We will not take people on holiday to destinations that require quarantine on arrival or to those on the Red List. In this case we will cancel your vacation and you will be able to transfer them to another date for free or you can request a full refund, which you will receive within 14 days.

“If we need to cancel any future vacations due to updated government guidance, we will contact you directly and notify you at least 7 days in advance.”
