Walkie Talkies given by Volunteers in Lithakia.

The great fire which occurred on September 15th in the villages of Lithakia, Keri and Agalas irreparably caused damage on all of us.

However, with emphasis on prevention and proper preparation for the next fire season, members of the volunteer group of the Lithakia Cultural Association offered a gift to the Municipality of Zakynthos. As part of their fire protection activities in our area, they have donated three modern portable transceivers so they can be used only for the council’s fire trucks water carrying vehicles that patrol and carry out important work. This donation will certainly fill a significant gap, as there were no wireless communication units on the vehicles to date. The equipment was received by the Vice Mayor of Arcadia and Civil Protection Officer Andreas Marinakis.
