Presents ‘Small murder stories‘ written by Panagiotis Bratakos, directed by Dimitris Karatzis.

Four small murder stories. Neighbours in extreme situations. Strong doses of human suffering, “a little humour to break the blackness” and singing. Because the public should always have fun.

The Cultural Association Skoulikado “Erotokritos” presents the theater play “Blackout” by Jack Sharkey, adapted by Christos Latsinos.

A storm! The lights go out suddenly! A cry is heard in the dark! A shot! The lights are on! An unknown in underwear standing over the dead holding a bloody dagger!

SATURDAY, 16th MARCH 

-Conference Room of Regional Unity of Zakynthos (Al. Roma 32, 1st floor).

From 10.30 to 13.30.

Zakynthos participates, for the 2nd consecutive year, in the Marathon of Reading for Francophone.

Students from primary schools, secondary schools, high schools and French-speaking guests will read excerpts French writers on the triptych “amitié, partage, échange”.

25 teams from all over Greece have stated that they will take part in this years Marathon Readings for Francophone, the most massive event of support for the French language and French-speaking cultures.

On 16th March, a huge chain of readers will be formed across the Greek Territory, who will render their love for the language of Moliere, Zola, Hugo, Verne, Proust, Aragon, Sengor and so many others, since French and French-speaking cultures are sources of inspiration and creativity.

Capoeiragem Zakynthos organizes a Capoeira Angola seminar with Carlos Eduardo Costa, known to the Capoeira community as Professor Dudu.

Professor Dudu, founder of Centro Cultural Capoeiragem (the first Capoeira Angola group in Athens), aims to learn, practice and disseminate Capoeira Angola, mainly in Greece and the rest of Europe. It aims to keep alive the Brazilian culture, as Capoeira Angola is the most traditional aspect of Capoeira.

Professor Dudu together with Prof. Gislene Ausech Antonucci which will give us the chance to get a taste of samba de roda, a traditional African-Brazilian dance including music, choreography and poetry.

SUNDAY, 17th MARCH 

-The group “me parea kromatizoume ti zoi – with colour we paint life” invites us on a hike in the beautiful mountainous green neighbourhoods of Exo Hora.

Meeting at 11 am in the village square Exo Hora in a magnificent area with a huge plane tree overlooking it, reminding us of other times.

The circular path is about 7 kilometres and is moderate in difficulty because it has several uphill and downhill slopes. Most of the route will be between pines, olives, coumaris, rocks, reeds, thyme and herbs.

 

-At Foskolos cinema, Solomos square. Showing at 12.00, noon.

The UNESCO Club of Zakynthos, in collaboration with the Olympia International Children’s and Youth Film Festival and the Youth Plan, is screening the film “Blanka” (for ages 9-99), directed by Japanese director Kohi Hasei has been awarded with 15 international awards (2015, 2016, 2017).

The film serves as a starting point for discussing issues that concern the modern world such as the need for contact and communication, friendship, parenting, human rights, corruption, etc.
The screening, in addition to entertainment, hopes to become a starting point for pluralistic planning actions and activities within and outside the school setting.

For the film will speak the director and Artistic Director of the Festival Dimitris Spyrou and psychotherapist Giovani Loksa, President of UNESCO Zakynthos group.
