Members of Parliament who have been trying to stop a no-deal Brexit won a vote last night that means they now have control of the parliamentary agenda today. This likely means that there will be a further Brexit delay in so the UK may not end up leaving the EU on 31 October.
The votes were 328 to 301 to suspend a Commons rule that states that only the government can create new laws.
The vote was helped by twenty-one members of the Conservative party who have now defected.
It may now mean that the UK goes to a General Election, with a possible announcement being made later this week.
