There are currently a total of 1,104 ICU beds operating throughout the country, of which 781 are occupied and 323 vacant (29%), according to a detailed situation with the operation of ICU beds, the Ministry of Health said.
Of the 5 ICU beds available at the Zakynthos hospital, 4 are available, as in one there is a patient with multi-organ failure, who does not have coronavirus.
The ICU-non COVID units are 608 in total, 446 are occupied and 162 are vacant (26.5%).
The ICU-COVID units are currently 496. Of these, 335 are occupied and 161 vacancies (32.5%).
The ICU-COVID that serves the needs of Thessaloniki (including the hospitals of Halkidiki, Katerini and Kavala) are currently 148. Of these, 132 are occupied and 16 vacant (11%).
In Attica hospitals, the ICU-COVID is currently 206. Of these, 130 are occupied and 76 vacancies (37%).
The total number of beds available, nationwide, for the treatment of confirmed COVID-19 cases stands at 4,773. Patients with COVID-19 currently being treated are 2,513 (total ICU, MAF, MEL, negative pressure chambers and single beds).
