PRESS RELEASE
Another state-of-the-art Molecular Analyzer for the rapid detection of coronavirus, including the necessary reagents, was delivered yesterday, Friday 28 August 2020, at the General Hospital of Zakynthos. The new analyst has a total of four examination positions, two of which are opened through a donation from Mr. Martinou and the other two are put into operation at the same expense of the General Hospital of Zakynthos.
As the Member of Parliament stated, “I would like to personally thank Mr. Martino for his valuable contribution to the upgrading of the health services of our Hospital. With the new Molecular Examination Machine (PCR) machine, our Hospital now has six examination sites for the rapid detection of coronavirus. In practice, this means that it will be possible to molecularly test 6 samples at a time, which is very important for the effective treatment of the disease. In closing, I would like to emphasize that we will make every effort to ensure access to quality health services for all citizens of Zakynthos. At this time, however, it is necessary to comply consistently and responsibly with the measures provided for our island. It takes a collective effort in order to be able to emerge victorious from this phase of the pandemic. ”
