About 13.15p.m this afternoon, authorities were alerted in regards to a fire that broke out in the area of Lagadakia.
Immediately the fire department rushed to the area. Within the report below the suspicion of unusual circumstances on how the fire started and again in an area which has become quite common for a fire to start every summer and at this time of year.
The fire is quite large as the report says and has made its way over to the Village of Kiliomeno. Two aeroplanes and a helicopter joined in the battle to get the fire under control.
24 firefighters are already trying to put it out with a group of pedestrians, volunteers and 7 vehicles, while according to the fire brigade, five aircraft are now joining forces.
So far there is no information that a residential area is threatened.
