A fire on Mt. Skopos broke out around 17.30.p.m.
Tourists noticed the fire from the beach of Kalamaki and called the fire department.
Zakynthos Fire department rushed to the scene. Meanwhile aerial support was called in.
However, the check by the flyby seems to have come to the conclusion that aerial support may not be needed.
Witnesses state that a helicopter was used in the operations.
It seems once again our boys have got it under control.
