In fact, as it was underlined in the press release from January 13, 2021, the announcement for the assignment of the study for the formulation and implementation of the strategic plans (master plan) of flood protection projects in Zakynthos estimated at 264,148.56 euros (value without VAT) has already been published.
The implementation of flood protection projects on our island is a key commitment that is now taking shape after a series of meetings at the Ministry of Infrastructure as early as November 2019.
Now both the strategic planning (master plan) of Zakynthos Flood Works and the flood protection project at the point where the stream “Tsirogianni” exists are entering the implementation trajectory.
Through the studies that will be prepared, we proceed to the formation and implementation of a complete and detailed flood protection plan for Zakynthos.
