On the occasion of the inauguration of the new Intensive Care Unit, MP D. Aktypis welcomed on the island, the Deputy Minister of Health V. Kontozamanis, the Member of Parliament for Laconia N. Kritikos, as well as the Commander of the 6th Health District G. Karvelis. The inauguration of the brand new unit was performed by His Eminence Metropolitan Dodonis Chrysostomos.
The Member of Parliament stated, “I would like to warmly thank the Minister of Health, Mr. V. Kikilias. Special thanks to the Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. V. Kontozamanis, for his decisive contribution to the opening of the ICU. Also, a big thank you to the Commander of the 6th RAE Mr. I. Karvelis, for his important contribution, but also to the Commander of the General Staff. Mr. G. Ragousis for his valuable help.
Finally, a big thank you to the medical, nursing, paramedical and administrative staff, as well as to the cleaning services of our Hospital “.
Given the coronavirus pandemic, the event was held at the Zakynthos Club in the presence of a small number of guests, while during this the safety distances were strictly observed, as well as all the planned measures to prevent any transmission of the virus.
