Intensive checks are being carried out across the Ionian Islands by special teams of the Services of the respective Police Directorates for the implementation of the measures to prevent and limit the spread of the coronavirus.
In this context, yesterday Sunday (09.05.2021), in Zakynthos, two violations were confirmed in premises of health interest (cafe-bar), due to serving seated customers inside them and an administrative fine of 10,000 euros and a fortnightly suspension of operation were imposed on each from both stores.
In another case yesterday in Zakynthos, an administrative fine of 1,000 euros was imposed on an owner of a health interest store (snack bar), for violating opening hours.
In addition, yesterday (09.05.2021), (9) violations were confirmed in Corfu, (5) in Zakynthos, (4) in Kefalonia and (1) in Lefkada for restriction of movement and an equal number of administrative fines of 300 euros were imposed.
Finally, during the inspections carried out, in Corfu (6) violations were found for non-use of a mask, for which an administrative fine of 300 euros is provided.
