As spring slowly moves into summer everyone is getting ready for their holidays. The Zakynthos season has officially begun. Dutch, Belgium, and UK fans have already arrived, and local businesses are preparing to welcome other visitors, from all over the world for 2022.
It’s hoped that this year will be much more positive than the subdued summer seasons that have taken place. Especially now that the Covid restrictions are changing for the better. It’s also great to see Zakynthos positively mentioned in the international press this last week too.
Zakynthos is in the top ten!
Zakynthos has been ranked as one of the ten most popular Greek holiday destinations, as ranked on Google. Even though Zakynthos sits at number 10, it shows that the island is as popular as ever as a holiday destination, with thousands of people wanting to learn more and look for holidays.
The other destinations featured in the Google rank are: Crete, Rhodes, Corfu, Santorini. Athens, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, and Thessaloniki.
Navagio is a top beach!
In the USA an article featuring the 23 Top Beaches in Greece leads with a short feature about the island’s famous Navagio beach. It focuses on the beach, its history and how to access the beach. It also highlights some of the island’s hotels. Other top locations in the article were Ionian Island Kafalonia, Corfu and Lefkada.
Zakynthos is number 11!
The same website has also written another article that lists Zakynthos as number 11 in the best Greek Islands list. It highlights the beauty of the island and some of the most popular sights. The top ten Greek destinations on the list are: Santorini, Corfu, Crete, Hydra, Kefalonia, Naxos, Mykonos, Skopelos, Delos and Paros.
Greece is a family-friendly country!
An article in the Telegraph features a writer who writes about going on a family-friendly holiday in Greece; notably Zakynthos. He describes the trip with his wife and very young baby, their accommodation and all that the island has to offer.
It’s great to see the season starting with articles and features that highlight the positive aspects of the island, which will only show the island in a good light and draw more people to it.
