In a statement made by our local MP, Dionysios Aktypis:-
Two important interventions, which remained stagnant, unnecessarily complicating the daily lives of patients, visitors and employees of the General Hospital of Zakynthos have been implemented immediately after my initiative, and with the rapid and targeted response and activation of the Management of our Hospital.
The repairs to the front shelter of our Hospital has already been completed.Within the next few days, the restoration of the total lighting of the building’s exterior and parking lot will have been completed.
Both the shelter and the external lighting of our Hospital, have remained for a long time in extremely poor condition, since the outgoing Administration of the G.N.Z. did not take care of repairing the significant damage they both had suffered. Now, all the outdoor areas of our Hospital are fully illuminated, while the front roof of the building will regain its original use, which is nothing more than protecting patients, visitors and employees of the GNZ from rainwater.
Through these simple and important interventions, access to the General Hospital of Zakynthos becomes more humane and more functional.
From the operation of the ICU of our Hospital and the achievement of the “barren” to attract additional doctors to the restoration of external lighting and the repair of the shelter we continue to make every effort so that our fellow citizens can enjoy modern and high quality health services.
