Zakynthos is on the list for new measures in regards top social events. As notified by our Government an extention of the measure starts today 16th September and will continue until the end of the month.
The notification reads as:-
Joint Ministerial Decision
In a new reality, due to the outbreak of coronavirus cases, institutions, businesses and citizens will have to adapt again.
The first Joint Ministerial Decision (JMD) was issued at noon on Wednesday, which defines which companies must suspend their operation in Attica from today.
The Ministry of Development and Investment, immediately after, sent the second JMD regarding the limits of participants in public or social events. The JMD describes in detail the regulations and the fines corresponding to each violation.
The following is the full content of the JMC for the limits of participants in events:
Article 1
Maximum number of participants in public or social events
Within the boundaries: a) of the Regions of Crete and Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, b) of the Regional Units of Thessaloniki, Halkidiki, Larissa, Corfu, Karditsa, Trikala, Pella, Pieria, Kilkis, Lesvos and Imathia and c) of Thimon, M Volos, Katerini, Rhodes, Zakynthos, Kos, Paros and Antiparos a maximum of fifty (50) participants in any public or social event, regardless of whether it takes place in private or public, indoor or outdoor, including ceremonies such as weddings, baptisms, funerals, as well as receptions or other events associated with these ceremonies.
In the cases of the previous paragraph, the rules that have been set with the joint ministerial decision under items D1a / GP.53080 / 28.8.2020 (Β ‘3611), as in each case, apply, as well as those set by article two by this. The joint ministerial decision under elements Δ1α / Γ.Π.οικ.52831 / 27.8.2020 (Β ‘3573), as in force from time to time, is not affected by the application of the present. The limit of the first paragraph does not include the support staff of these events.
Par. 1 does not cover: a) the operation of health interest stores of par. 1 of the second article of the present, b) the events of live spectacle and listening (such as theatre, dance and music performances) and c) the services of movie projection.
In the cases of the previous paragraph, the rules that have been set with the joint ministerial decision under items D1a / GP.53080 / 28.8.2020 (Β ‘3611), as in each case, apply, as well as those set by the second article by this.
In case of violation of the provisions of par. 1, the following sanctions are imposed: a) Natural persons who attend events of par. 1 or participate in them, as the case may be, for each violation, with a reasoned act of the competent authority, an administrative fine of one hundred and fifty (150) euros. b) The companies that organize events of par. 1 are imposed, with a justified act of the competent authority, for the first violation an administrative fine of three thousand (3,000) euros and for the second violation an administrative fine of five thousand (5,000) euros and suspension of operation for fifteen (15) calendar days. c) In the case of natural persons who organize events of par. 1, an administrative fine of three thousand (3,000) euros is imposed, with a reasoned act of the competent authority, for the first violation and an administrative fine of five thousand (5,000) euros for the second violation.
Article 2
Special rules for the operation of health/food/catering/bars & restuarants
The operation of businesses located within the boundaries:
- a) of the Regions of Crete and Eastern Macedonia and Thrace,
- b) of the Regional Units of Thessaloniki, Larissa, Corfu, Karditsa and Trikala and
- c) of the Municipalities of Thira, Volos, Katerini, Rhodes, Kos, Paros and Antiparos are prohibited from 12.00 at midnight until 7.00 am. of the next day.
The ban covers the activities of restaurant services and mobile catering units / KAD code number 56.10, beverage service / KAD code number 56.30 and catering for events (catering) KAD code number 56.21 including these eight-digit numbers, as well as the exploitation of property for events and events) / KAD code 93.29.11.03 and organization of entertainment events (weddings and related) / KAD code 93.29.19.01. The activities of the previous paragraph are allowed within the boundaries of the regions, regional units and municipalities of the first paragraph and during the time specified there only during the part concerning product distribution (delivery) and supply of products in a package from the store (take away) , taking into account the distance of one and a half (1.5) meters between the customers and excluding the provision of alcoholic beverages from all the stores that carry out the activities occupied by the KAD of the present.
The special rules of par. 1 include the similar activities provided within the tourist accommodation.
In case of violation of the provisions of par. 1 is imposed: (a) In the first violation, an administrative fine of ten thousand (10,000) euros and suspension of operation for three (3) days and (b) in the second violation, within the period of validity of this, suspension for twenty (20) days.
The joint ministerial decision under items D1a / G.P.oik.56418 / 14.9.2020 (Β ‘3927), as in force from time to time, is not affected by the application of the present. Within the scope of the above decision, it is not allowed to provide products in a package from the store (take away).
Article 3
Competent authorities and procedures for control and imposition of sanctions
Articles 24 to 29 shall apply to the competent authorities for the control and enforcement of sanctions, the procedures for the control and certification of infringements hereof, the imposition, certification and collection of fines, the notification of sanctions and the competent authority for informing the public under elements D1a / G.P.oik.53080 / 28.8.2020 (Β ‘3611) of joint ministerial decision, as in each case.
Article 4
Validity
This replaces, from its entry into force, the joint decision of the Ministers of Finance, Development and Investment, Citizen Protection, Labour and Social Affairs, Health, Culture and Sports under items D1a / G.P.oik.52973 / 28.8.2020 and Interior “Maximum number of participants in public or social events and special rules for the operation of health care stores in specific Regions, Regional Units and Municipalities of the Country” (B ‘3583).
This is valid from 16.9.2020 until 30.9.2020. This decision is to be published in the Government Gazette.
