Reports state that Police are looking in the past of the 53 year old business man who was attacked in a mafia style shooting.
According to information, he is said to be aware of the perpetrators of the death contract.
The mafia execution, according to the police authorities, is related to two more murders that took place in Zakynthos within the last twenty years. A security team from Attica arrived on the island and took a long testimony from the 53-year-old businessman, who is reportedly aware of who is in charge of the death contract.
The 53-year-old reportedly told police the two perpetrators wanted to kill him. However, the perpetrators killed his wife, killing her instantly. He was seriously injured, but managed to reach the home of an acquaintance and ask for help.
The motorcycle on which the perpetrators were riding has not been located. In the inflatable boat which was found in the area of Porto Roma in Vasiliko, and with which the perpetrators escaped, the security police is looking for information about the identity of the two murderers. According to information, five people have been examined as suspects, among them a resident of Zakynthos who allegedly helped the fugitives escape.
