The number of tourists who are in self isolation at the quarantine hotel in Keri is constantly growing and according to the latest information by our local newspaer “ERMIS, until yesterday afternoon there were a total of 42 people.
These are tourists, the vast majority of whom are foreigners, who tested positive for the covid test, while their close contacts under Greek protocol are also isolating with them.
The problem is that the number of people who have to be transported to the quarantine hotel is constantly increasing, despite the fact that people leave when they complete the 14 days provided by the health protocol.
Another issue that has arisen in Zakynthos in recent weeks concerns the behavior of foreign tourists who test positive for coronavirus. Some of them choose to leave the hotel secretly, against all Greek Governement’s protocol by trying to travel or go to another accommodation.
A week ago we recall an incident happened with English tourists and yesterday another similar incident happened.
Zakynthos Informer would like to remind all our visitors that we have taken time and effort to provide our Island as a safe destination for you to visit. If you have been confirmed positive with coronavirus, you must abide by the rules and regulations our Government has provided. Please respect these protocols.
