Commotion once again caused by the reports of EODY. The official announcement of EODY, according to which 3 of the 2,917 new cases of coronavirus in the country, are located in Zakynthos.
Zantereport contacted a senior EODY source and officially raised the question of why this is happening, since it does not appear from anywhere that there is any confirmed case in any other official source of case control on the island.
The source of EODY, speaking exclusively to zantereport, points out that, as a local case, any case found positive, even in another area of Greece, but the person has declared that they are a permanent residence or has a family share in Zakynthos. This, obviously, happens not only for Zakynthos but also for all other regions of the country.
Therefore, the fact that in the announcement of EODY, 3 cases are mentioned does not mean that they are on the island. They may be students or employees or even visitors to other areas of Greece, who tested positive for the coronavirus, but, based on the practice followed by the Organization, they are recorded as cases in the area where they live permanently.
