Finland’s largest tour operator AURINKOMATKAT and a subsidiary of the airline Finnair have announced that due to the situation in Europe by coronavirus it cancels all scheduled flights for the summer of 2020 to certain destinations including three Greek islands, Zakynthos, Skiathos and Skopelos.
Zakynthos was supposed to be serviced from May 13th to September 30th. The company would operate one flight per week every Wednesday.
The company also announced that for the rest of the program all flights will be suspended until the end of June which means we have cancellations in Corfu and Aktio.
The first flight to Corfu was scheduled for May 10 and to Aktio for May 2 and therefore the start of the program is postponed to early July.
It should be noted at this stage that the remaining tour operators operating in Corfu, Zakynthos and Aktio (Lefkada / Preveza) have not changed for the time being and Aurinkomatkat has left open the possibility of further cuts to other destinations.
