The water polo department of the Zakynthos Athletics Union is very happy to announce the first transfer of an athlete from its academy.
Thanasis Grapsas, born in January 2006, after getting the right foundations from our swimming department, switched to the newly formed part of our team in February 2018, after 4 years of hard training and absolute dedication to achieve his goal with the correct guidance of the academy coach our Yannis Tsimis and the supervision for the last 2 years of the experienced and multi-victory Patrinos coach Christos Argyropoulos, the time has come.
It is the first time in the history of Zakynthos that a water polo player from the ZEUS academy is selected by a large team from Patras. We would like to thank the Maritime Union of Patras (N.E.P) for the trust and interest it showed in one of our children. Wishing our own, Thanasis a good career and success, who deserves to be in the big NEP family.
Finally, we would like to thank Matina Gouskou for her absolute support, Christos Argyropoulos for the interest and support he shows for our academy and Mr. George Margaris for the excellent facilities he created with the swimming jewel of the island that enables young children to get involved in aquatics from a very young age so that Zakynthos can finally acquire, through the Zakynthos Aquatic Association, the right sports foundations in swimming and water polo.
