The spread of the coronavirus epidemic in Greece continues with undiminished intensity as on Friday afternoon (4/9) the National Organization of Public Health (EODY) announced 202 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 9 were detected after checking at the gates of our country.
The total number of cases is 11,200, of which 55.7% are men. 2188 (19.5%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 4910 (43.8%) are related to an already known case.

38 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their median age is 69 years. 10 (26.3%) are women and the rest are men. 92.1% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years of age or older. Also 157 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 1 more recorded death and 279 deaths in total in the country. 102 (36.6%) were women and the rest were men. The median age of our dying fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.1% had some underlying disease and / or age 70 years and over.
