Up until Christmas day the quarantine restriction remains at seven days
Another change for travelers from Great Britain brings a new aviation directive of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), which stipulates that the 10-day quarantine will apply, but not from today as announced on Monday, but from Friday, December 25, Christmas day. Until then, passengers arriving from the UK will be subject to seven-day quarantine.
Specifically, the latest NOTAM of the CAA states:
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announces to the passengers the change in the date of entry into force of the new air directive (notam) for arrivals from the United Kingdom, which will be valid from Friday, December 25, at 06.00 until Thursday, January 7, 2021 at midnight.
It is reminded that all passengers entering Greece with flights from the United Kingdom are already subject to a seven-day (7) mandatory precautionary restriction, while from December 25, 2020 the quarantine will last ten days. As for the rest of the notam data for the United Kingdom, they remain valid as announced.
It is reminded that apart from quarantine, passengers entering Greece on flights from the United Kingdom will be subject to rapid testing. In order to be quarantined, arrivals from the UK will have to undergo a new PCR test at the end of their exclusion period, which will be negative in order to lift the mandatory precautionary restriction.
