Air France, KLM and Sky Express aggreement

Air France and KLM signed a collaboration agreement with the Greek Sky Express company.

With this agreement, the three companies strengthen their commercial co-operation between Paris, Amsterdam and the Greek islands, through a coordinated sales system.

Customers can now book round trips connecting Paris-Charles de Gaulle or Amsterdam-Schiphol with 24 Greek destinations served by Sky Express via Athens on the corporate websites of airfrance.com, KLM. com and through the ticket offices of Air France, KLM and Sky Express.

With this new agreement, Air France and KLM customers can benefit from 24 new routes in Greece departing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol and continuing their journey through Athens to Alexandroupoli, Astypalaia, Kefalonia, Hios , Corfu, Kythira, Ioannina, Heraklion, Kalymnos, Karpathos, Kos, Ikaria, Hania, Limnos, Milos, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Samos, Santorini, Skiathos, Syros and Zakynthos.

Through this collaboration, the passengers of the companies of Air France, KLM and Sky Express, who have flight-connections in Athens, are also offered transportation of their luggage to their final destination.

Also, all passengers enjoy access to the Sky Express lounge at Athens Airport during the connection of their flights.

Patrick Roux, Senior Vice President Alliances of Air France-KLM Group said: “Through the cooperation with Sky Express, customers benefit from the extensive national network in Greece, starting this summer and leaving from our two main hubs. With this new collaboration we confirm, for yet one more time, the flexibility of our network and our goal to improve the travel experience of our passengers through simplified connections, additional routes and even more favourable price offers”.

On his part, Theodoros Krokidas, President and CEO of Sky Express added: “We are happy to announce another interconnection agreement, especially with such big brand names as Air France and KLM. We are sure that this agreement will noticeably increase passenger traffic and tourism development of the Greek islands. Sky Express will continue to focus on the expansion of its network and to play an important role in domestic air transport in Greece”.

Air France offers 39 flights a week to Athens with Airbus A319, departing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle, while KLM offers 14 flights a week, departing from Amsterdam-Schiphol with Boeing 737.

The 24 destinations offered by Sky Express are served respectively with 377 flights per week performed from Athens with ATR42 and a capacity of 48 seats and with ATR72 with a capacity of 70 seats:

– Astypalaia: 8 flights per week
– Alexandroupolis: 14 flights per week
– Kefalonia: 14 flights per week
– Hios: 19 flights per week
– Corfu: 18 flights per week
– Kythira: 7 flights per week
– Heraklion: 21 flights per week
– Ikaria: 7 flights per week
– Ioannina: 7 flights per week
– Kalymnos: 6 flights per week
– Karpathos: 7 flights per week
– Kos: 16 flights per week
– Hania: 21 flights per week
– Limnos: 10 flights per week
– Milos-Plaka: 14 flights per week
– Mykonos: 14 flights per week
– Mytilini: 16 flights per week
– Naxos: 22 flights per week
– Paros: 15 flights per week
– Samos: 14 flights per week
– Santorini: 70 flights per week
– Skiathos: 10 flights per week
– Syros: 6 flights per week
– Zakynthos: 21 flights per week.
