The Hellenic Association of Banks, in a statement, informs traders of transactions that they will not be able to conduct in banking within the banks or their branches as of today, Tuesday, March 24th, following the circulation ban in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus spread risk.
For this reason, as of Tuesday, March 24, 2020, the following transactions will not be performed in branches of any physical nature:
- Cash withdrawals of up to 400 euros will be made exclusively using the debit card at ATMs. It goes without saying that anyone who wishes to withdraw a larger amount can do so either through an ATM or through a counter.
- Cash deposits of up to € 1,000 are made at ATMs using a debit card.
- Payments of third party bills (public, energy, water, telephony, pay-TV, insurance, etc.) are paid through internet / mobile banking or ATMs and APSs. Branches will not receive payments of bills over the cashiers counters.
- Accounts (transactions and balances) will be updated via internet / mobile banking or ATMs. Savings booklet updates will not be made at the Branch Network.
