Some of you may recall the plea to help our fellow Zakynthian Dionysis Prokopis get major surgery, in which he needs to help save his life. His first operation is due on the 18th of March and a request for six bottles of blood to help has been posted on his personal Facebook page by his cousin Dimitris. As Zakynthos Informer has stood by our fellow man we are asking that any members who can help please do so. Below is a translated script of the announcement placed on Facebook:-
6 bottles of blood of any type are requested for the Ippokrateio Hospital in the name of Dionysis Prokopis for its first surgery until 18/3/2019. The surgery is for his heart. This is the surgery that will open the way to my cousin in a few months to make way for the major surgery on his spine abroad and to save his life. Please, all that is sacrificed is a little of your time and a life is saved. Thank you all for what you have done so far, but in this fight we will need you again! Let’s all go together to save our Dionysis! Thank you all once again.
Notifications for help have also been placed in our local newspapers. Let’s hope we can make a difference.
