Local news Zakynthos channels are reporting that four British tourists escaped from an island Covid quarantine hotel last night.
The four women had been placed in a Zakynthos island quarantine hotel for fourteen days, due to coming into contact with a confirmed case of Covid.
Unfortunately, last night they decided to break out of the quarantine hotel and headed to Zakynthos airport to try and fly back to the UK. The escaping women were seen and EODY and the Zakynthos Police department were informed. The women were arrested and returned to the quarantine hotel to isolate for the remainder of their nominated stay.
