A new six-month extension was secured for the deadline for the correction of the original Cadastral Registrations, in areas proclaimed under cadastral survey before the entry into force of Law 3481/2006 (old cadastral programmes) for regions which ended within 2018 and among those, the area of the local community of Argassi.
According to the Head of Zakynthos Cadastral Office Dionysia Paraschis, with law 4585/2018 (A 216) the exclusive deadline, for correcting the original cadastral registrations for areas declared under cadastral survey prior to the publication and entry into force of Law 3481/2006, was set at fifteen years, if it has not expired by 30.11.2018. Especially and exceptionally, for areas in the same category as the original fourteen year old deadline, this deadline was extended and if this extension has not expired by 30th November, 2018, the 15-year period shall apply, which is extended by three more months. Following this, the finalization of the initial cadastral registrations for the local community of Argassi, Local Union Zakynthos, of the Dimos/Municipality Zakynthos expires on 29th July, 2019.

Now a horizontal extension has been given, to all the correction deadlines in the Cadastre which expire in 2019, for another three months, including the Land Registry of Argassi. The new deadline for the corrections in Argassi will be April. In the case of Argassi, this new extension will not help, just as the previous ones that had been given did not help. The solution proposed by the bodies, is that of redefining the Cadastre and it is the only one that exists. So far, there is no answer to our request to the Cadastre”.
