The restrictive measures announced for this month will be accompanied by financial support measures for the sectors that will be affected, according to the government. Bars, cafes, cinemas, museums and theatres are closing, as well as gyms in the High Risk Zone. Movements between these Prefectures are not prohibited at this stage.
The continuous rapid spread of the coronavirus brought even more stringent new measures in the form of mini-lockdown, especially in focus. All new measures will take effect this Tuesday morning, November 3rd.
As Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced in his televised message, the country is now divided into two “zones”. Thus, restaurants are closed to the public in the former “orange” areas, in addition to the areas that were already at level 4 (red) on the pandemic map.
The two zones are: Surveillance and High Risk.
As the Prime Minister said, the first level includes all the prefectures that until now presented relatively few cases, that is, those that until today are in the “green” and the “yellow”. The known measures will apply there, some of which are being expanded. The universal use of the mask remains everywhere and a universal traffic ban is applied from 12:00 midnight until 5:00 a.m in the morning throughout the Country.
Zakynthos is classed level 1 (Green), however as of Tuesday morning masks must be worn EVERYWHERE. Transportation, unless it is for emergency reasons will not be allowed after midnight up until 05.00a.m.
In more detail for Zone 1. (Zakynthos).
-Use mask everywhere, indoors and outdoors.
-Restriction of traffic from 12:00 in the evening until 5:00 in the morning.
-Application of telework 50% in public and private sector.
-Complete distance learning in universities.
– Prohibition of gatherings/parties.
The measures of the second zone:
The Increased Risk zone includes the areas that until today are not only in the “red”, but also in the “orange”. That is, all of Northern Greece but also Attica.
-The operation of all dining areas is suspended, except for the home delivery of food and the receipt from the store.
-The same will apply to the places of entertainment, culture and sports: Bars, cafes, cinemas, museums and theatres, as well as indoor gyms.
-Unlike spring, however, travel outside the prefecture is not prohibited.
The Prime Minister stated that the measures are similar to those enacted by France and Germany.
For all entrepreneurs affected by the above measures there will be emergency financial support.
