Daily epidemiological surveillance report infection for the new coronavirus (COVID-19)
Data until July 17, 2020, at 15:00.
The data presented relate to cases from the epidemiological surveillance of the disease by the new coronavirus (COVID19), based on the data reported to EODY and recorded until 17 July 2020 (time 15:00).
There are 28 new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease, of which 12 were detected following country entrance gates.
The total number of cases amounts to 3964 (daily change + 0.7%), of which 54.8% are men.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 1, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 194 deaths. The average age of patients who died was 76 years. The number of patients treated by intubation is 12 (91.7% men).
Out of the total of 3964 cases, 1085 (27.4%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad, 2035 (51.3%) are related to an already known case and the rest are not related to either travel or another known case or are still under investigation.
The average age of cases is 47 years while the average age of death is 76 years.
