Police authorities in an effort to combat drunk drivers, throughout the Ionian have made several arrests. In a press release they state the following:-

Seven (7) people arrested for drunk driving in Corfu, Lefkada and Zakynthos
During the last twenty-four hours (16-08-2019 to 19-08-2019), seven (7) people aged 19 to 59 were arrested in Corfu, Lefkada and Zakynthos for drunk driving.
Specifically, the arrests concerned:
The detection in Corfu by Corfu Police Officers of two foreign nationals 19 and 26 years old and two nationals of 51-years-old and a 35-year-old man, who were found to be driving under the influence of intoxication.
Respectively in Lefkada, two nationals of 22 and 56 years old, were identified by police officers of the Lefkada Traffic Department, of driving under the influence of intoxication,
Finally, in Zakynthos, in the area of Laganas, by Zakynthos Traffic Police officers, a 29-year-old alien, driving under the influence of intoxication
The seven (7) arrested were taken to the relevant Public Prosecutor.
