Fire broke out in Sarakinado.

A fire broke out just before noon in Sarakinado, opposite the OPEL car company.

At the height of the strong, six fire brigade six vehicles with 12 firemen rushed to the scene.

Commander of the Fire Brigade, Ioannis Panopoulos co ordinated the operation. Police forces, technicians from the electricity company DEI and the Chief of the Civil Protection Department of the regional offices of Zakynthos, Maria Mouzaki  arrived in the village.

Thanks to the quick action of our services the fire is out. However,the fire did burn a number of olive trees.
