In the first public opinion poll after the European Elections on May 26 and a month before the general elections on July 7, main opposition party New Democracy leads in the citizens’ preference with 31.2%. Ruling party SYRIZA follows with 23.5%
According to the poll conducted by Metron Analysis over the last weekend on behalf of private Alpha TV, respondents said they would vote for:
New Democracy 31.2%
SYRIZA 23.5%
KINAL/PASOK 6.1%
KKE 3.8%
Golden Dawn 3.6%
MeRA25 2..8%
Greek Solution 1.7%

When one considers the rate the parties received at the Euroipean Elections
- ND 33.2%, SYR 23.75%, KINAL 7.72%, KKE 5.35%, Gd 4.88% GS 4.18%
one wonders where all these voters went.
Regarding the question “Who is the most suitable Prime Minister” 31% of respondents said “No one”, while 28% said Kyriakos Mitsotakis (ND) and 22% Alexis Tsipras.
52% said they prefer a coalition government, while 45% said they prefer a one party government.
65% consider the snap elections as positive and 27% as negative.
Convolution of ND reaches 93.9%, it loses 1.3% to SYRIZA and KINAL and 0.9% to other parties.
In SYRIZA it reaches 89.1% with loses 2% to ND, 1.1% to KKE and 2% to other parties.
KINAL 70.5% with loses of 13.2% to ND and 6.9% to SYRIZA.
