The gap between ruling left-wing party SYRIZA and main opposition conservative New Democracy is “closing” at 3.4% just three days before the European elections on Sunday. Movement of Change (KINAL/PASOK), far-right Golden Dawn and communist KKE race for the third position.
The number of undecided is at 11.1%.
According to a public opinion poll conducted by Kapa Research on behalf of daily Ethnos, ND leads with 27.8%, while SYRIZA follows with 24.4%.

Regarding the question as to whom Greeks consider as “most suitable for Prime Minister” 34% said Kyriakos Mitsotakis and 30% Alexis Tsipras. 19% said “somebody else” and 15% said “Nobody.”
It should be noted that SYRIZA is gaining in voters’ preference after Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras announced the “relief measures.”
In the same poll, voters named as the factors to influence their vote “the economic situation of the country” at 52%, “Greece in Europe” at 40%, “Migrations/Refugees” at 35%. The “Prespes Agreement” at 29%.
The poll was conducted among 1004 people.
What is interesting is that another poll published a day earlier, showed a bigger difference between SYRIZA and New Democracy.
Poll conducted by Metron Analysis for Alpha TV: SYR 23.1%, ND 30.3%.
ND leader has been zealously demanding snap elections, should SYRIZA come second on May 26. However, much will depend on the difference between the two parties.
Fact is that we will certainly know around 9 o’ clock Sunday night with the exit polls expected at 7 p.m.
