The youngest patient with coronavirus in our country is a 5-day-old infant, who was transported from Alexandra Hospital to Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital in the early hours of Thursday, March 11, 2021. The baby had difficulty breathing and before being admitted to Aglaia Kyriakou ICU was being nursed in an incubator.
The baby, according to POEDIN, is better in the last hours and it is very likely that he will soon leave the ICU and be transferred within the day to a covid ward of the Agia Sofia Children’s Hospital. According to POEDIN, in the three Children’s Hospitals of Attica and Ippokratio Thessaloniki, 20 children are being treated, most of them in Primary School.
