An alarm bells ring within the government and experts for fear that the coronavirus pandemic will spiral out of control. In fact, as everything shows, a new “black” case record will be recorded today, Tuesday, November 2, with the information talking about over 6,000. It seems determined to announce new measures that will target the unvaccinated, as the greatest pressure on hospitals is recorded in areas with low vaccination coverage.
New measures as a new “black” case record comes.
In this context, the committee of epidemiologists started a meeting at 13:00p.m , while at 18:00p.m an official announcements are expected from the Minister of Health Thanos Plevris. Indicative of the situation is the fact that the meeting of the commission was scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, however, data given by the “black” case record recorded on Monday, as well as the messages coming today, do not seem to have hastened any decisions.
In addition to the meeting of the committee of epidemiologists, a meeting is expected to be held at the Maximos Palace, while a “marathon” of meetings took place yesterday (in fact there was the participation of Professor Sotiris Tsiodras). According to Sofia Fasoulaki in the noon news bulletin of OPEN, the prime minister is the one who will take the decisions on the measures that will take effect in the coming days. The measures will concern only the unvaccinated, while as ethnos.gr wrote earlier, the government’s strategy is unfolding in 4 axes.
more to come soon.
