Greece:- Coronavirus 24hr data update

Coronavirus cases in the country increased to 169, reaching 11832, as mentioned in the announcement of EODY on Tuesday afternoon. A new death in the last 24 hours.

The course of the coronavirus epidemic in Greece has rise as on Tuesday afternoon (8/9) the National Organization of Public Health (EODY) announced that the laboratory confirmed 169 new cases in our countr.  15 were detected after checking at the gates of the country.

The total number of cases is 11832 (daily change + 1.4%), of which 55.8% are men. Of the total cases, 2274 (19.2%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 5204 (44.0%) are related to an already known case.

 

A new death occurred while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 290 deaths have been recorded. The 107 (36.9%) women and the rest men. The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 78 years and 96.2% had an underlying disease and / or age 70 years and over.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 42 (76.2% men). Their median age is 69 years. 10 (23.8%) are women and the rest are men. 88.1% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years of age or older.

 

Also 164 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
