Greece:- Coronavirus – Cases: More than 9,500 children became ill in one week.

The spread of coronavirus at a young age is a fact that is proven by the epidemiological report of EODY, according to which 22% of the total cases in the last week, concern children from 4 to 18 years old. While Greece records a “black” record of the last six months in deaths as 70 people lost their lives in the last 24 hours.

More than 9,500 infections in children.

Concerns are growing about the spread of the virus as an absolute number of 9,604 cases were recorded between the ages of 4 and 18, from 1 to 7 November.

The incidence of children aged 4-18 years in the total number of COVID-19 cases per epidemiological reference week is shown in the chart below. However, this number is reduced by 12% compared to the previous week.

The number of coronavirus deaths has jumped in the last 24 hours, as the 70 deaths recorded today are the worst number in the last six months. The concern for the intubated is huge, as if they exceed 600 the situation in the NSS will no longer be marginal, as is the case today, but much worse.

The health data for the week of November 1-7

During the same week the positivity rate was 2.39% in a total of 1,805,427 laboratory tests (RT-PCR / Rapid-Ag) and 0.48% in a total of 2,298,907 self-diagnostic tests. In all tests, the positivity rate was 1.05%.

In the reference week, the admissions of new patients were 2,519, while the total number of discharges due to healing was 1,491. The ratio of admission of new patients to discharge due to cure was 1.69.

Monoclonal antibodies: In Greece the first 2,000 doses
At the same time, Greece received 2,000 doses of monoclonal antibodies aimed at preventing the worsening of Covid disease. Roche against Covid-19, based on monoclonal antibodies.

Specifically, 2,000 doses of this drug were received, in the context of Greece’s participation in the European Union program (contract SANTE-C3-2020-091) for the supply of the new treatment.
