The announcement of EODY for the new cases today
EODY informed about the new cases of coronavirus in Greece and the evolution of the pandemic in our country. Today, Monday, December 21, EODY announced 526 cases, 85 deaths and 505 intubated in ICUs in the country’s hospitals. The announcement of EODY is as follows:
“Today we announce 526 new cases of the new virus in the country, of which 14 were detected after checks at the country’s gateways. The total number of cases is 131,597, of which 52.5% are men. 5229 (4.0%) are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 38,481 (29.2%) are related to an already known case.
505 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their median age is 67 years. 164 (32.5%) are women and the rest are men. 77.4% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years of age or older. 812 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 85 more recorded deaths and 4257 deaths in total in the country. 1,717 (40.3%) women and the rest men. The median age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years and 95.7% had some underlying disease and / or age 70 years and over “.
