The announcement of EODY for the coronavirus cases in our country in detail:
The data presented relate to cases from the epidemiological surveillance of the disease by the new coronavirus (COVID19), based on the data reported to EODY and recorded until March 15, 2021 (time 15:00).
The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 1,134, of which 13 were identified after checks at the country’s gates. The total number of cases is 222,281 (daily change + 0.5%), of which 51.6% are men. Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 61 are considered related to travel from abroad and 1,744 are related to an already known case.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 564 (68.4% men). Their median age is 68 years. 82.8% have underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,494 patients have been discharged from the ICU. The admissions of new Covid-19 patients in the hospitals of the territory are 461 (daily change + 8.73%). The average seven-day admission is 447 patients.
The new deaths of patients with coronavirus are 46, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 7,137 deaths have been recorded. 95.8% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.

In Attica, most new cases of coronavirus are recorded for another day on Monday, March 15, according to the geographical distribution of EODY. Specifically, out of the total of 1,134 cases, 521 are recorded in Attica, 132 in Thessaloniki were detected while in Achaia another 65 cases.
