EODY announced on Wednesday afternoon 217 new cases of coronavirus in Greece. 16 of them were located after checks at the country’s gates.
The total number of cases is 7684, of which 55.3% are men. Of these, 1765 (23.0%) are considered related to travel from abroad and 3585 (46.7%) are related to an already known case.
28 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their median age is 68 years. 8 (28.6%) are women and the rest are men. 42.9% have an underlying disease or are aged 70 and over. 140 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 3 more recorded deaths and 235 deaths in total in the country. Of the victims of Covid-19, 82 (34.9%) were women and 153 were men. The median age of our dying fellow citizens was 77 years and 95.3% had some underlying disease and / or age 70 and over.
