Coronavirus: 3,191 new cases today in Greece – 23 dead and 317 intubated.
EODY announced on Saturday afternoon that the new cases of coronavirus in the country amount to 3,191. In the last 24 hours, 23 of our fellow citizens lost their lives. At 317 the intubated.
The National Organization of Public Health (EODY) announced on Saturday afternoon (21/8) that the laboratory confirmed new cases of coronavirus are 3,191, of which 19 were identified after checks at the country’s gates.
The total number of cases amounts to 557,239 (daily change + 0.6%), of which 51.1% are men. Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 129 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,501 are related to an already known case.

The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 23, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 13,351 deaths have been recorded. 95.2% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 317 (60.3% men). Their median age is 64 years. 83.3% have underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,913 patients have been discharged from the ICU. The admission of new Covid-19 patients to the hospitals of the territory is 280 (daily change + 4.87%).
Tests performed
In the last 24 hours, 15,007 molecular tests and 84,164 rapid tests were performed, with the positivity reaching 3.22%.
Vaccinations
A total of 11,128,403 vaccinations have been carried out +26.943 on 20/08/2021.
While 5,894,724 vaccinations with at least 1 dose have been given +11.373 on 20/08/2021.
5,597,167 comprehensive vaccinations have been performed +17.315 on 20/08/2021.
Zakynthos.
A total of 45,143 vaccinations have been carried out (+173 on 20/08/2021). While 25.266 vaccinations with at least 1 dose have been given (+64 on 20/08/2021). 24.271 comprehensive vaccinations have been performed (+120 on 20/08/2021).
