New measures – Anxiety about imported cases
The government decided to implement new measures for the entry of visitors to Greece, through air connections. Specifically, based on the analysis of epidemiological data. It was decided that those entering Greece from Bulgaria and Romania, from the morning of Tuesday, July 28, until August 4, are required to show a negative molecular control (PCR) result for the coronavirus, which has been carried out up to 72 hours before their arrival in Greece.
According to this decision, Greek citizens, holders of residence permits and those who travel for essential reasons are excluded. At the same time, the obligation to complete the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) at least 24 hours before arrival in Greece remains in force. As the General Secretariat for Civil Protection points out, the government – in cooperation with the competent services – constantly analyzes and evaluates the data, so that the opening to foreign visitors can be done safely and without discounts on public health.
However, the question that arises is what measures will be taken for the tourists from these two countries who arrive on our island by road, since now, based on the above decision, those who are going to travel by air are obliged to show a negative test.
