Heavy snowfalls, powerful winds disrupt Greece’s sea-, air-traffic (videos)

Heavy snow-falls on the north-aegean island of Samothraki make traffic impossible as they are accompanied by powerful north winds striking with up to 116 km/h. Snowplows from local authorities and the Greek Army started to work since the early morning hours in order to improve the situation on the traffic network.

The biggest problems are recorded in Chora, Paliapoli, Kamariotissa and Alonia.

Coming from Siberia, barometric low “Okeanis” set foot in Greece’s North-East late on Friday and is gradually moving to the Central and South Greece.
