Jet2 Planning to fly to Greece till Mid November

JET2

The airline and the tour operator increased the capacity with almost 80 additional flights in October and November to Zakynthos, Crete (Heraklion), Rhodes and Kefalonia.

The UK’s second-largest owner of ATOL has made the move, despite the fact that the British government continues to cast doubt on when vacations abroad can resume. It is recalled that Jet2 extended the suspension of the program in mid-April earlier this week.

Increase in Range of Holiday Packages

Jet2holidays has also expanded its range of hotels in Greece, with more options from two to five stars.

There are 34 new flights to Zakynthos, with additional capacity until the end of October from Birmingham, East Midlands, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted.

Jet2 introduced another 20 new flights to Rhodes, with additional flights from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, the East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted by mid-November.

Nearly 20 new flights are added to Crete (Heraklion), from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle and Stansted – until 9 November.

For Kefalonia, there are additional flights from Glasgow, Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford and Manchester until mid-October.

CEO Steve Heapy said: “There is still a huge demand from British holidaymakers, who just want to get out in the sun and enjoy their priceless vacation. As always, we listen to what customers want and react accordingly so that we can provide them with the vacation options they want. The extension of the summer season in Greece means that we do exactly what the customers want, giving the opportunity to escape and enjoy the necessary holidays. We will continue to meet the demands of our customers and transport them from our rainy islands to their favourite vacation spots. “

Emmy Anagnostopoulou, Director of EOT UK (GNTO), said: “We would like to thank Jet2.com and Jet2holidays for their faith in Greece as an inspirational destination, as well as for their continued support and we are confident that customers will enjoy their holidays in Crete, Rhodes, Zakynthos and Kefalonia. The incredible summer weather, even in October and November, with these additional flights will help their customers to explore the enchanting landscape and enjoy the unique gastronomy of these four -tour flagships of tourism- “.

Aid of 442 million pounds, high demand for 2022

Jet2 raised 422 million from shareholders and new investors to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic. Philip Meeson, CEO of the group, said: “The board thanks both existing shareholders and new investors for their significant support. Based on the work scenarios, the board believes that these funds will be enough. The company has 479 million in cash at the moment and may have access to Bank of England 300 million in loans.

Finally, the company appears optimistic in the long run, as consumers make reservations for 2022 and already for the Summer of 2022, the prospects are very positive compared to the summer of 2019, with strong profit margins “.
