Katastari F.C. – results

A poor appearance was accompanied (understandably) by a defeat for Katastari from Ypato with 2-0. The home team took advantage of the opponents mistakes and with the goals of Delekou (25′) and Spanou (30′)  managed to win three-points, taking them to 25 points in the league, with the islanders remaining at 28.

The match between Ypato and Katastari at Skimatari began under good weather conditions.  Coach Nolis arrayed a different  set-up, not in defence but in midfield. There, where for the first time debuted young Chris Musay,
together with Kostas Tiliopoulos were both midfielders. Pettas then at the top Andreas Mesini, on the right, Kostas Kardaris and Marios Maroudas on the left.

In the centre of defence, returned, Giorgos Karvounis with Spyros Sotiropoulo,
right Ilias Panagopoulos and Nikos Kourellas left. Under the post Thanasis Drakopoulos. The game started with the two teams trying to find their way around the pitch. Play for the first 10 minutes was in the centre, without any phase in front of the two areas. The match strengthened without the two teams reaching dangerously in front of the two areas.

Ypato succeeded at 25′ to get ahead in the score, when a foul was executed the defence of the island group was slow and from the height of the penalty Delekos sent the ball in the net, making 1-0 for his team. Five minutes from the first goal hadn’t passed when the second ‘cold-shower’ for the islanders came. Pettas slipped and lost the ball, Spanos entered the area and made it 2-0 for the home team, who were now on solid ground.

The islanders had defensive problems and so were created a number of faults in the area of Drakopoulos. On the offensive they could not threaten the area of Stavrianou, apart from a shot by Marios Marouda, since their lines were far away and unconnected. With this 2-0 the teams went to the locker room. In the second half, the host team were determined to win, while the guests tried to transfer their game to the Ypato area without being able to do so. A shot fom Pettas was unable to change the score. The final whistle by Giannoukas found Ypato win.
