Lockdown:- Supermarket hours and more.

The general lockdown across the country due to the coronavirus pandemic announced by Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, has been in force since 06:00 on Saturday morning, November 7.
In the middle of the second lockdown, supermarkets and other grocery stores, such as bakeries and fishmongers, continue to operate normally.
The specific companies, as informed by the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias, specifying the new measures, will operate daily until 20:30, while their operation is planned on weekends, in order to avoid crowded images, such as those of March.

Inside the food shops,

1 person is allowed per 10 sq.m. (4 people 20-100 sq.m. and 1 person for every 10 sq.m. extra), while special disinfection is provided in wheeled and non-strollers / baskets.
What applies to food supermarkets on Sunday Except on Sunday 15 November the food supermarkets as well as butchers, fishmongers will be open from 09:00 to 17:00.
Also from Saturday, November 7: It is allowed to operate optical stores and hearing aid stores only after a telephone call to an emergency telephone that will be given by the shopkeepers.
It is allowed to operate telecommunication equipment stores only for e-commerce or telephone services with home delivery (e-shop, etc.), as well as bill payment services, balance renewal, repair and replacement of mobile devices.
E-commerce services are allowed with home delivery (e-shop, etc.) Take away and drive through services are provided only within the framework of the citizens’ travel reasons defined by Joint Ministerial Decision.

Also in operation:

  • Laundries Kiosks (24 hours),
  • Pharmacies, Fuel stations,
  • Health services,
  • veterinary services,
  • Pet shops, Hairdressers,
  • barbershops and beauty salons will be open on Saturday, November 7 and Sunday, November 8.
The operation of the public markets is carried out with the participation of 50% of the active, parallel markets and a bench distance of 5 meters.
