As Greece comes into its second phase in combating COVID-19, our Government has released some measures.
Starting Monday the 4th of May, some shops will open. The list is below.

In detail, the dates of the lifting of the measures announced by the Prime Minister are:
Monday, May 4
Small shops are opening
Hairdressers are opening
SMS is removed in 13033 and movement within the prefecture is released
Individual worship in churches is allowed
KTEO open
Monday, May 11
Lessons for 3rd yr Higher/Senior school begin
Retail apart from those in malls. In all stores, of course, terms will apply, especially on how many people allowed in a shop at a time. Strict measures will be taken to protect workers.
Sunday, May 17
Services in the Churches begin (with strict rules).
Monday, May 18
The rest of Senior High and the High School start.
Monday, June 1
Classes in Primary and Kindergartens may begin
All year round hotels are opening
The department stores are opening
Catering stores open
The second wave of Justice work will be activated.
We remind you that lifting of measures will be slow and steady and always with the observation of our scientists. Whilst collecting data on a daily basis, they will continually check that we are defeating the virus.
The new motto is now “STAY SAFE”. That means that we all have a responsibility to keep up hygiene and adhere to the advice our scientists provide.
At the moment each Minister will release their plan depending on the field they represent.
