My New Greek Life – TV Series

Last autumn we were contacted by RDF Television who were looking for people to take part in a new TV programme being made for Channel 5.

The team described it as a new, fun and inspiring series centred around people who had decided to give everything up and move to Greece, or who had already recently made the move. The team making the programme were looking for people all over Greece, including Zakynthos, to be involved, as yet we don’t know which locations were finally chosen or will be featured.

My New Greek Life has now been made and will show all the challenges that those moving to another country can face, not only finding new homes and jobs, but also tackling the local language and settling into a new community and making friends.

The series will give viewers a glimpse of what it’s like to move to Greece along with all the ups and downs, trials and tribulations that go with it. According to the press release from the production company, “viewers will not only  see spectacular scenery in an incredibly beautiful location, but the programme will also, hopefully, inspire audiences to think: ‘If they can do it, maybe so can I…’”

The first episode of A New Greek Life will air on 11 February, 10pm, Channel 5.
