Earlier, Harry Maguire and his friends had a fight with other Englishmen outside a bar in Mykonos Town.
Police in Mykonos handcuffed the head of Manchester United, Harry Maguire, in the early hours of Friday.
Harry Maguire was spotted by police outside a bar after a wild incident he allegedly had with other Englishmen on the “island of the winds”.
Citizens reportedly informed the police half an hour after midnight on Thursday that two groups of Englishmen were fighting outside a bar.
When the police intervened to stop the quarrel, three people from a group of Englishmen attacked the Hellenic Police men verbally and using physical violence.
As a result, the police brought the three Englishmen – among them the United central defender – to the Mykonos police station.
Even there, however, the three suspects continued to provoke while attacking and beating two police officers resulting in their arrest.
Watch Harry Maguire have fun on Matogiannia on Thursday night with fans who recognized him and started singing, turning the alleys into a mini stand.
In a statement, Manchester United states about the incident:
“The club is aware of an episode in which Harry Maguire is involved and it happened in Mykonos last night. We contacted Harry, who is fully cooperating with the Greek authorities. At this point in time, there will be no further comment. ”
The 27-year-old defender joined United in the summer of 2019 with the “red devils” giving 80 million pounds to Leicester, an amount that is a record for the transfer of a central defender.
Following the transfer, United manager, gave him the captain’s armband as he believes it will be the basis for the team to return to the path of success.
