Two new cases of Covid announced by the hospital
We had two new cases (women) at night at the General Hospital. In fact, one 37-year-old was admitted to the covid clinic, where two other fellow citizens are.
Also, a fellow citizen is hospitalized in the negative pressure unit at the ICU.
Schools closed due to Covid 19 cases
The latest cases on our island, Specifically the two brothers in the 5th and 6th grade, respectively, in the 6th Primary School Zakynthos are forcing the specialists to close the school from tomorrow, Monday 8th February 2021.

Dear parents,
We would like to inform you that according to the decision of the Director of Primary Education of Zakynthos, following the suggestion of the Head of the Health Department of Zakynthos, the operation of our School is suspended from Monday 8-2-2021 to Friday 12-2-2021. It is clarified that the students of Fifth grade will remain in quarantine until Tuesday 16-2-2021. The students of Sixth grade until Friday 19-2-2021. The courses will be conducted with distance learning.

Another case of a student has been announced by the General Hospital of Zakynthos. The 14 year old is a student of third year Junior High of the 1st High School in Zakynthos town, The student has mild symptoms and is at home for 14 quarantine. Tracing of the students contacts has begun. An announcement of the closure of this year group is anticipated.
