Protest in regards to the illegal sale of land in the area known as “Shipwreck”.

Many attended this evening’s protest outside the Regional Offices in Zakynthos town, despite the rain and cold. The protest was in recognition of the illegal sale of land in the mountainous region of Zakynthos, namely known as “Shipwreck”.  The protest was a pure initiative of the inhabitants of the area to inform the people.

In a statement, Zakynthos residents say, among other things: “The inhabitants of Zakynthos and the owners of the land who were trampled on by the illegal sale of 15,000 acres of public and private land in the mountainous area of 15,000 acres from the area Shipwreck to Exo Hora, Volimes.

During the protest documents of the sale were talked about. The organisers are calling for all Zakynthians to join in their fight to stop the sale going ahead.

Updates will be made as soon as we have more news.
